Wanda Dee is truly an enduring, vivacious & versatile star.

The 11th anniversary issue of WORD UP! Magazine has her listed as one of "the most outstanding female artists of the decade", while the (Oct "97) issue of THE SOURCE Magazine lists her first amongst Hip Hop's prominent female DJ's!

Wanda Dee became the first female Hip Hop DJ and inductee in the Zulu Nation in her early teens. "Afrika Bambaataa, the Godfather of Hip Hop and the founder of the Universal Zulu Nation, gave me my first big break as a DJ, " said Ms. Dee. "He protected me against all the jokes, pranks and insults by my male DJ contemporaries." Wanda was adept on the turntables and soon her skills drew the attention of Harry Belafonte who featured her as the first female Hip Hop DJ in his movie, "Beat Street." The movie led to a European tour. Wanda packed the London theatres. While there, Peter Waterman, offered her a multi-million dollar record deal on PWL, which gave her the opportunity to work with the production team of Stock, Aitken & Waterman who worked with artists the likes of: Kylie Minogue, Donna Summers and Bananarama.

The DJ turned recording artist, formed an association and collaboration with KLF producers, Bill Drummond and Jim Cauty, two extraordinary musicians and studio technicians, which culminated in the marriage of a Hip Hop, Techno, Dance, Tribal, Rock & Pop album, "The White Room," released on Arista Records. The album sold in excess of 15 million units worldwide, going platinum in 77 countries. A songwriter, Dee began co-writing multi-platinum hits. "I co-wrote every hit I've ever had, starting with my first Rap hits: "Blue Eyes," "To the Bone" and "The Goddess." "To the Bone" and "The Goddess" went platinum. She also co-wrote her KLF hits, "What Time is Love?" and "Last Train to Trancentral," as well as the songs "Close Your Eyes," and "Cozy" which are featured on her current album, "The Goddess is Here!"
